HOW TO GET THERE:
Porto Moniz is renowned for its striking natural volcanic pools, offering a captivating blend of rugged landscapes and coastal beauty. To drive from Funchal Airport to Aqua Natura Bay, start by heading west on the VR1 highway for approximately 33 kilometres until you reach Ribeira Brava. From there, take the exit toward Sao Vicente and merge onto the ER104 road, continuing for about 17 kilometres until you reach Sao Vicente. Follow signs for Porto Moniz, staying on the ER101 road for approximately 15 kilometres until you arrive at Porto Moniz. Once in Porto Moniz, follow signs or directions to Aqua Natura Bay. The journey typically takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes, covering approximately 65 kilometres.
