Then Chef Filipe and his family open the doors to their Madeiran estate inviting us for an exclusive gastronomic experience. A masterclass cooking class of Madeiran Cuisine with some parts hands-on and demo. Ancient Forest to Get Lost in & Levadas to Guide Your Way!

Up in the mountains, we stop to explore the natural Fanal Forest, with trees that date back to a time before the discovery of the archipelago. They are part of the Indigenous Laurissilva forest, which expresses itself here in an impressive state of conservation given its vitality. The Levada Aqueducts that follow along the woodland trails guide us through the magical forests with breathtaking views at every corner.

• Madeira is famous for its hikes/walks, and there are many to choose from, but for us, this is a magical place that must be visited when coming to Madeira.
• This hike is the best to avoid crowds, we highly recommend the Fanal walk. The scenic forest there is truly breathtaking.
• The walk will be along a beautiful path all the way to a waterfall and back again, around a 2-hour walk in total.
• Our guide will bring you a light lunchbox to enjoy during the hike/walk.
• The walk would be considered easy to moderate. Make sure you bring layers because at higher altitudes, it is cooler, and this forest is famous for misty days.
• We love it on misty and sunny days, such a spectacular Indigenous Laurissilva forest, which expresses itself here in an impressive state of conservation, given its vitality.
