Discovering Spectacular Places: A Journey Through Natural Hidden Wonders

Prepare to explore and see some of the most breathtaking places in the Algarve. Dona Ana Beach, is an iconic beach located between Praia do Camilo and Praia do Pinhão near Lagos Old Town. Here you can admire overhanging cliffs, a beachside tavern, and fantastic facilities. Known for its crystal-clear waters, unique rock formations, and stunning sandstone cliffs.

The town of Luz is situated in the Western Algarve, between Lagos and Burgau, just an hour from Faro airport. It is a seaside town that´s both a great base for exploring the region and a self-contained holiday retreat. This charming destination boasts a pristine blue-flag beach, perfect for families. Here you will also have the opportunity to see Rocha Negra (Black Rock) a striking cliff formation on the eastern part of the village. Created millions of years ago by a volcano, this unique black granite formation possesses a magical quality, sculpted by nature´s hand years ago.

Ponta da Piedade is a collection of rock formations, rising up to 20 meters above the Atlantic Ocean. These formations create natural arches, caves, and towers that captivate travellers and offer breathtaking views from Carvoeiro to Sagres.

The beach of Porto de Mos is a picturesque, long sandy beach that lies between towering cliffs and the endless Atlantic Ocean. Located on the northern edge of Lagos, it is just a short drive away from Lagos Marina.

Day by day itinerary

DAY 1:
LAGOS - DONA ANA BEACH - PONTA DA PIEDADE - PORTO DE MOS - PRAIA DA LUZ - LAGOS  (Distance: approx. 8 km)

  • Today you will enjoy an incredible hike, the Fishermen's Trail which it´s part of the Rota Vicentina.
  • Transfer to the starting point of the hike at Dona Ana beach.
  • Head towards the town of Luz, passing by Ponta da Piedade, the beach of Porto de Mós and continuing to a promontory with some of the best views.
  • Lunch table reservation at one of the restaurants in Luz (Optional)
  • Reach the top of the only volcanic rock in south Portugal, known by locals as “the Black Rock”.
  • End of the tour and transfer back to Lagos.
