Embark on a luxurious yacht adventure from the fishing port of Vigo along the bay of Vigo, an estuary with a lot of history where numerous battles occurred and treasures of great value were sunk. While you are exploring this outstanding bay, learn about its history and the fishing tradition. Enjoy the Galician gastronomy with a picnic-style lunch on your way to the beautiful Cies Islands and spend a great day admiring the ocean landscape, beaches, bateas (mussel farms), and the dramatic Galician coast in the Rias Baixas region.
This is a limited edition sailboat, built in the prestigious English Moody shipyards in 1974. It has a length of 44 feet, a beam of 4 meters and a depth of 3 meters. With a 67 hp Perkins diesel engine and it also has 2 masts that allow the boat to sail with the genoa, main and Mizzen sails.
On its wide deck, it has a solarium area at the bow, a dining table in the center, and a shower at the stern, where the diving equipment and tank loading, is also located.
Inside it has a large open central area with a U-shaped room, a central table, and a well-equipped kitchen. In the bow, there is a double cabin and the main bathroom. In the stern, there is also another double cabin with a private bathroom and, in the port and starboard corridors, a single bed in each one. It also has onboard heating and hot water.
All this makes a very safe sailboat, with excellent navigation and all the necessary comforts to enjoy a quality sailing experience.
The Cies Islands are an archipelago located at the mouth of the Bay of Vigo. These islands were declared a Nature Reserve in 1980, and are included in the Atlantic Islands of Galicia National Park created in 2002. It consists of three islands: Monteagudo, Faro, and San Martiño. The first two islands are connected by a long strip of sand called Rodas Beach, one of the best beaches in the world according to "The Guardian" British Travel Magazine.
They are considered to be the greatest treasure of Vigo Bay which is why the Romans named them "The Islands of the Gods".
There is a total of nine beaches surrounding these islands with fine white sand and clear waters, Rodas, Figueiras, and San Martiño are the largest ones.
Taste Galician quality products aboard the yacht and savour the excellent wines of the Rias Baixas region. The famous Albarino white wine a very popular Galician wine that pairs perfectly with the delicious fish and seafood of the bay.
