Both desserts are heavily connected to the area´s agricultural roots that have shaped its landscape and gastronomy.

Selaya is home to the largest Sobaos and Quesadas factory in Cantabria. Here, you´ll have the chance to explore the factory and dive into the history of these traditional desserts at the Sobao and Quesada Museum. The sweet ending of this experience will be a guided tasting of these iconic local treats.

DAY 1:
SANTANDER OR TORRELAVEGA OR SANTILLANA DEL MAR - SANTOÑA - BÁRCENA DE CICERO - PASIEGO VALLEY - SELAYA - SANTANDER OR TORRELAVEGA OR SANTILLANA DEL MAR

  • 09:00AM: Pick-up will be at your hotel in Santander or at the designated meeting points in Torrelavega and Santillana del Mar.
  • Arrive in Santoña and visit Conservas Emilia, a local factory that specializes in producing world-famous anchovies.
  • After the factory tour, enjoy a short driving tour around Santoña´s picturesque port and seafront promenade.
  • Next, we will visit Bodegas Vidular, a family-owned winery renowned for producing some of Cantabria´s best white wines.
  • The visit ends with a wine-tasting session, paired with a tapa to enhance your experience.
  • Continue the journey through the picturesque Pasiegos Valleys and soak in the beauty of its rolling hills and scenery.
  • 01:30PM: Lunch at a Local Restaurant in the Pasiegos Valleys. (NOTE: Lunch not included. You pay what you ordered directly at the restaurant.)
  • Panoramic drive through the valleys, leading up to Mirador de la Braguía.
  • Head to Selaya and visit Sobaos Joselín, where you’ll explore the facilities and learn about the history of these traditional Cantabrian desserts at the Sobao and Quesada Museum.
  • You will also experience a guided tasting of their delicious products.
