The Ribeiro wine region has been cultivated for over a thousand-years with Torrontés, Loureira, Godello, Albariño and Treixadura grapes, this last variety stands out as the favourite of Ribeiro. The Ribeiro D.O. (Designation of Origin or Appellation of Origin) is the oldest wine-producing area in Galicia.
