MEDIEVAL CASTLE WITH TOWER AND ROMANESQUE CHURCH
The Parador is located on a headland, in a fortified 9th c.
enclosure in which there is also the 2nd c. Minyona tower and an 11th c. church,
representative elements of the Catalan Romanesque of its surroundings. Its
location offers an exceptional panoramic view of the town and of the fertile
lands bathed by the river Cardoner. Some bedrooms have the charm of four poster
beds. Moats, towers, walls and Gothic elements combine with a decoration in
which comfort and Catalan-inspired medieval furniture predominate. In the dining
room, Catalan cuisine offers assortments of forest mushrooms and a variety of
sausages, not forgetting `butifarra con mongetes` (sausage with haricot beans).
